RICHLAND, WA (August 11, 2005) -- Jacqueline Olson of Sutherlin, Ore. defeated Natalie Weber of Bend, Ore. in the final match for the 50th PNGA Junior Girls’ Championship. Olson’s victory was by a 2 and 1 margin. She wasted no time in taking the lead of the match by winning the first hole. That was the closest Weber would get as Olson won the 4th and never had a smaller lead than 2 up. After the front nine, Weber was down 3 holes, but won the 10th and tried to make a comeback. Olson’s win on the 15th hole gave her a great advantage by putting her 3 up with 3 to play. Weber managed to win the par 5 16th, but their tie at the 17th sealed the match.
