Shimmin Holds on for Victory

FLORENCE, SC. (Oct. 13, 2010) -- Gary Shimmin of Okatie continued his stellar play shooting a final round three-under-par 68 and a two day total of 138 to claim the 4th Annual Super Senior Championship. The 65-year old Shimmin carded five birdies against only two bogies to hold off Ben Shadoan from Taylors by four shots

ABOUT THE South Carolina Super Senior

The Super Senior Championship began in 2007 as an off shoot of the SCGA's Senior Championship. The separate event made it possible to take the Super Senior's to different courses around the State and to play from yardages around 5,900 yards.

With the minimum age at 65 years old, the Super Seniors is an opportunity for event the most experienced golfer to still compete.
