Eaton Blisters Field at Arizona Women's Senior

SHOW LOW, Az. (Sept. 15, 2010) - Defending champion, Kim Eaton of Papago Golf Club blistered the field with a 24 stroke margin of victory in the Arizona Women's Golf Association Senior Championship. The tournament was contested at the Torreon Golf Club. Eaton shot two under par and had a three day total of 214. Second place went to Betsy Bro of Forrest Highlands with a 238. Tied for third was Torreon member, Susan Basso and Judy Miller of Randolph North with a 241.

ABOUT THE Arizona Women's Seniors

Tournaments are open to amateur golfers: Who were females at birth. Who are AWGA members in good standing for at least 30 days prior to the first day of the tournament. Who are 14 years of age of older. If between the ages of 14 and 17, they must have a handicap index of 12.0 or less. Who have a USGA handicap index. Entrants must have an official USGA handicap index that computes to no greater than a 36 on the competition course, with the exception of the 18 Hole State Medallion Club Team Tournament and the Seniors Championship where the maximum index will be a 40.4. The 9 Hole State Medallion Club Team Tournament shall be no greater than a 20.2 index. A 9-hole index must compute to no greater than an 18 handicap on the competition course. The handicap index in effect five (5) business days prior to the Tournament shall be used through out the Tournament. In team events where a maximum 10-stroke difference is required, the higher handicap player may lose no more than three (3) strokes to conform to the 10-stroke requirement.
