In Kentucky, Walters' 67 Tops Senior Field at Amazon Special
CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY (August 2, 2010) -- In typical fashion, Campbellsville Country Club opened up their gracious arms once again as they played host to the 2010 Kentucky Senior Golf Association's Amazon.com Special. The golf course conditions were great for the 86 KSGA members who competed in the event, as was evident when the scorecards were tallied. Six players recorded par or better scores, all from the first flight. Best round of the day honors go to Bruce Walters and Bill Sergent who fired 67 to take top honors in the first flight - Walters was low gross (67) and Sergent was low net (67). In the Super Seniors flight, Fred Gupton's 73 edged out Don Wood by one stroke.
A very special "Thanks" to Amazon.com, for their support of the KSGA and this event, and to the many local sponsors that provided refreshments on the course and lunch for players after the round. Also, thanks to host PGA Professional, Mike Kehoe, for his efforts in hosting the event.
