New Jersey (NJSGA) Men's PubLinks Championship
SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ (July 28, 2005) -- Isaac Lim of Tamarack Golf Course today became the first New Jersey State Golf Association Men’s Public Links Champion, as he defeated defending NJSGA Open Champion Brian Komline of Rolling Greens Golf Club in a sudden death, one-hole playoff at the Ash Brook Golf Course in Scotch Plains. This Championship was played over 36 holes, and began with 62 players this morning. A cut to the low 30 plus ties began this afternoon’s Championship round, with Lim becoming Champion is his 37th hole of the day. Ash Brook, par 72, was played at 6950 yards for the tournament.

This is the first year the NJSGA has conducted this Championship; formerly it had been conducted by the New Jersey Public Golfer’s Organization (NJPGO) as their Amateur Championship. The low 5 scores (including ties) are exempt from qualifying for the 2006 NJSGA Amateur Championship.
