FAIRHAVEN, MA (May 16, 2010) - Winning on the PGA Tour takes heart, talent and the right equipment. Titleist Brand Ambassador Adam Scott proved once again he has all that and more in his one shot victory at the Valero Texas Open. Trusting the Pro V1 golf ball and a complete bag of Titleist equipment, Scott posted an 11-under 133 in the 36-hole Sunday finale, overcoming a four-shot deficit en route to his seventh career PGA Tour title. Additional victories on the LPGA, Champions, Nationwide and Japan Tours advance Titleist's 2010 worldwide win count to 47, more than four times the nearest competitor.

TITLEIST HIGHLIGHTS FOR WEEK ENDING MAY 16, 2010

PGA TOUR: More than 3 inches of rain washed out Friday's round at the Valero Texas Open, setting up Sunday's 36-hole marathon. Scott shot a third-round 66, then built upon his lead with six birdies en route to a closing 5-under 67 at TPC San Antonio. He finished with a 14-under 274 total for his seventh PGA TOUR victory, adding to a resume that includes nine international victories as well as an unofficial victory at the rain-shortened, 36-hole 2005 Nissan Open.

Three players finished tied for third with 12-under 276 totals, including Titleist Brand Ambassador Jimmy Walker ( Pro V1, 909D3 driver, 909F2 fairway metal, New MB irons, Vokey Design Spin Milled wedges, Scotty Cameron putter), who posted his first top-3 finish on the PGA TOUR, and Aaron Baddeley (Pro V1x).

At 29 years, 10 months old, Adam Scott's seven PGA TOUR victories are currently the most by a player in their 20s. His victory in San Antonio also marks the third of his career in the state of Texas. Scott previously won the 2007 Shell Houston Open and the 2008 HP Byron Nelson Championship and now joins Byron Nelson as the only players in PGA TOUR history to win these three Texas events.

#1 BALL, IRON, WEDGE and PUTTER: According to the Darrell Survey, Titleist was the overwhelming GOLF BALL of choice at The Valero Texas Open with 97 players, more than four times the nearest competitor with 22. Titleist was also first in IRON SETS with 43; SAND, LOB and APPROACH WEDGES with 122; and PUTTERS with 65.

STATS: For the week, Adam Scott drove an average distance of 306.6 yards (5th). He also ranked among the top-15 in Putts per Round (27.3) and Putts per Green in Regulation (1.688). He tied for 19th in Greens in Regulation, hitting 66.7%. Jimmy Walker hit 69.4% of Greens in Regulation (T10) and ranked 6th in Putts per Green in Regulation (1.640). Both players relied on 909D3 drivers, 909F2 fairway metals, New MB irons, Vokey Design Spin Milled wedges and Scotty Cameron putters for their tee-to-green success.

LPGA TOUR: The winner of the rain-shortened Bell Micro LPGA Classic relied on the Pro V1 golf ball to end a three-year victory drought with a birdie on the third playoff hole to top Pro V1x loyalist Brittany Lincicome. The Hall of Famer from Korea secured her 25th career win and first since she won the Owens Corning Classic in 2007. The winner and Lincicome were among three players who finished regulation play tied at 13-under 203. Jee Young Lee (Pro V1), Na Yeon Choi (Pro V1x) and Azahara Munoz (Pro V1x) finished in a three-way tie for fourth at 11-under 205.

The winner is now unbeaten in six career playoffs.

#1 BALL: According to the Darrell Survey, Titleist was the overwhelming GOLF BALL of choice at the Bell Micro LPGA Classic with 107 players, more than five times the nearest competitor with 18.

NATIONWIDE TOUR: Justin Hicks (Pro V1x, New CB irons, Vokey Design Spin Milled wedges) waited out a one-hour weather delay, then knocked his approach to three feet to set up birdie at the final hole and win the BMW Charity Pro-Am by two strokes. Hicks closed with a 5-under 66 to finish at 20-under 266 for his second victory on the Nationwide Tour. His other win came at the 2008 Wayne Gretzky Classic. The victory moved Hicks from 47th to seventh on the Nationwide Tour money list. The top-25 players at season's end earn membership for the 2011 PGA Tour season.

Titleist Brand Ambassador Chris Kirk (Pro V1x , 909D3 driver, 906F4 fairway metal, 909H hybrid, New CB and 670 forged irons, Vokey Design Spin Milled wedges, Scotty Cameron Laguna 1.6 putter) shot a final round 5-under 66 to finish in a four-way tie for second place at 18-under 268.

#1 BALL, IRON,WEDGE and PUTTER: According to the Darrell Survey, Titleist was the overwhelming GOLF BALL of choice at the BMW Charity Pro-Am with 108 players, more than four times the nearest competitor with 22. Titleist was also first in IRON SETS with 48; SAND, LOB and APPROACH WEDGES with 136; and PUTTERS with 68.

CHAMPIONS TOUR: Dan Forsman made an eagle and four consecutive birdies on the front nine Sunday en route to a three-stroke victory at the Regions Charity Classic. Forsman, who fired a tournament-record 62 in the second round, closed with a 6-under 66 to finish with a 20-under 196 total. Peter Senior ( Pro V1, 909D2 driver, AP2 irons, Vokey Design Spin Milled wedges) tied for second at 17-under 199 and David Peoples (Pro V1x) finished alone in fourth at 15-under 201. Bobby Clampett ( Pro V1, 909F3 fairway metal, 909H hybrid, AP2 irons) and Jeff Sluman (Pro V1) rounded out the top-5.

It was the second victory for Forsman on the Champions Tour, with his first win coming at the 2009 AT&T Champions Classic.

JAPAN TOUR: Toru Taniguchi (Pro V1x, Vokey Design Spin Milled wedges) captured his third career major title on the Japan Tour with his one-stroke victory at the Japan PGA Championship. Taniguchi closed with a 2-under 68 to finish at 10-under 270. Hiroyuki Fujita (Pro V1x, 909H hybrid, Vokey Design Spin Milled wedges, Scotty Cameron putter) finished solo 3rd, three shots back. Masamichi Uehira (Pro V1x, 585.H utility metals) and Shingo Katayama (Pro V1x) finished 4th and 5th, respectively, as Titleist golf ball loyalists accounted for four of the top five finishers.Taniguchi has won the Japan Open, one of the other two major tournaments, twice among his 16 career wins on the JGTO Tour.

#1 BALL, HYBRID and WEDGE: According to the Darrell Survey, Titleist was the GOLF BALL of choice at the Japan PGA Championship with 53 players, compared to 38 for the nearest competitor. Titleist was also first in HYBRIDS with 17; and SAND, LOB and APPROACH WEDGES with 82.

EUROPEAN TOUR: Spain's Alejandro Cañizares (Pro V1x) was edged on the first playoff hole at the Iberdrola Open Cala Millor Mallorca, narrowly missing out on securing his maiden European Tour title. Both players finished tied in regulation at 6-under 274, four clear of South African James Kingston (Pro V1x). According to Sports Marketing Surveys, Titleist was the golf ball of choice at the Iberdrola Open Cala Millor Mallorca with 95 players, more than all other golf balls combined.
