Knodt, Brammer win SCGA Senior Four Ball

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Oct. 27 -- SCGA Senior Player of the Year Howie Knodt (left) sank a birdie putt on the fifth playoff hole today, and from 26 feet partner Bill Brammer did the same on the second playoff hole, to clench the SCGA Senior Four-Ball Championship at El Niguel CC.

Knodt and Brammer tied Kemp Richardson and Rich Logan with a two-day total of 6-under-par 132 (with better-ball rounds of 66 a piece each day) to enter the playoff. Knodt has now won every SCGA senior event played this year, but tipped his hat to Brammer for the Senior Four-Ball win, saying, "If you can't play well, you might as well choose a great partner."
