RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. (April 3, 2009)--Three amateurs made the cut at the first women's professional major of the season, the Kraft Nabisco Championship.

14-year-old Alexis Thompson of Coral Springs, FL, currently #1 in the amateurgolf.com Women's Player-of-the-Year points race, shot 72-72-77-69--290 to finish tied for 21st at 2-over par, eleven shots off the winning score.

Tiffany Joh of San Diego, CA, the 2008 U.S. Public Links champion, also finished tied for 21st at 2-over after rounds of 71-75-73-71--290.

Azahara Munoz, the Arizona State golfer from Spain who is the reigning Women's NCAA Champion, shot 71-74-77-73--295 and to finish tied for 40th at 7-over.

Two other ams, Jennifer Johnson of La Quinta, CA, and Candace Schepperle of Birmingham, AL, were also in the starting field but missed the 36-hole cut.

In a thrilling finish, Brittany Lincicome eagled the final hole to edge Kristy McPherson and Christie Kerr by one shot.
