PASO ROBLES, Calif. (Nov. 23, 2008) -- Dash Lindsell of Burlingame, CA (2009) began the final round of the Hunter Ranch Open one stroke back of two FCWT veterans who were co-leading after Rd. 1. But on Sunday, Lindsell fired a 4-under-par, 68, making six birdies along the way to win his first FCWT event.

Cory McElyea of Santa Cruz, CA (2010) and divisional birdie leader Tad Murray of La Quinta, CA (2010) both fired opening rounds of 1-under-par to lead by a stroke with 18 holes to play.

Marshall Colby of Thousand Oaks, CA (2009), Chris Blystone of Santa Maria, CA (2010), and Luke Vivolo of Carmel, CA (2011) entered the final day day tied with Lindsell at 72.

Lindsell, a senior in his second season with the FCWT, has come on strong this season with two top 10 finishes in two events. Sunday's victory gave him a two-stroke advantage over first round leaders McElyea and Murray, who finished tied for 2nd.

Murray led the division in birdies with 12 for the weekend, while McElyea tied Matthew Hansen of Los Osos, CA (2010) for the most pars with 26 each.

Hansen finished tied for 4th with Alexander Reno of Santa Rosa (2010). Both Reno and Hansen fired final rounds of 2 under par 70 as did Dylan Jackson of San Diego, CA (2009) who finished tied for 6th with Colton Knedler of Beverly Hills, CA (2009) and Chris Blystone of Santa Maria, CA (2010).

Mark Wyllie of San Jose, CA (2010), Matthew Reinders of San Anselmo, CA (2010), and Marshall Colby of Thousand Oaks, CA (2009) finished tied for 9th at 147.

In the Boys 13-15 division, Christopher Petefish of Danville, CA (2014) fired a 1-under-par on Saturday and had a two-stroke lead heading into Sunday's final round.

Petefish, looking for his second win of the season after taking last weekend's tourney at Coyote Creek, until he was derailed by 15-year-old Jonathan Keedy of Newport Beach, CA (2012).

Keedy started the day in 3rd place at 74, but carded a final-round 77 to Petefish's 82, earning his first FCWT win and an exemption to the National Championship. Keedy led the field in birdies with 7, 6 of which he made in the first round. Petefish finished tied for 2nd with Sergio Rios of Salinas, CA (2011), who opened with a round of 73 and then carded a round of 80 to finish at 153, and earn a Top-3 finish in his first FCWT event.

In the Boys 11-12 division Pukhraj Gill of Rancho Cucamonga, CA led wire-to-wire to win his first FCWT event of the season.

In the girls' division, after an opening round of 72 on Saturday, FCWT newcomer Danielle Gillaspy of Santa Maria, CA (2010) struggled a bit on Sunday but was able to hold on to her lead and win her first FCWT event.

She began the day two shots ahead of Ellese Dias of Crockett, CA (2010) who also struggled on Sunday.

However, not everyone in the field struggled during the final round.

Haley Andreas of Pacific Grove, CA (2010) who began the day just five shots back of the leader in 4th place, finished 2nd at 153, just one stroke back of Miss Gillaspy.

Emily Chiu of Pleasanton, CA (2009) carded a final round of 75 and moved into a tie for 3rd place with

Tiffany Nichols of Castro Valley, CA (2010). The Low Round of the day (72) was posted by Jordan Ontiveros of Alamo, CA (2009), a 2007-08 FCWT All-American who finished tied for 5th with Taylor Bickell of Napa, CA (2011) who won the Classic Club Challenge in September.
