Hi-Desert Amateur: Drake prevails

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (Nov. 2, 2008) -- Long Beach State junior Michael Drake took a five-stroke victory at the Hi-Desert Amateur, finishing at 8-under-par 136.
Drake, a Riverside native, was the 2007 Long Beach Match play champion.
He topped fellow Long Beach State golf team member Ricky Montanez by five strokes, while Michael Rees took third at 143.
Jim Bryant's 134 was good for a five-stroke victory in the senior flight.
