"I feel like I got run over by a truck."
Those were the first words out of J.D. Anderson's mouth after conceding another birdie to Mike Ketcham on the 17th and final hole of the IGA Match Play Championship. The concession gave Ketcham a 3&1 victory in the final match and denied Anderson the title for the second year in a row. He was runner-up to Mike Oimoen in 2007.
Anderson was 2-up through seven holes of the final match when Ketcham caught fire. He proceeded to birdie four of the next five holes to go from 2-down to 2-up. Pars on the next four holes maintained his advantage and the birdie concession on the last gave him five birdies over the final ten holes.
Anderson avenged his 2007 finals lost to Oimoen in the semifinals, posting a 1-up victory. Ketcham defeated Ron Peterson in his semifinal match 4&3.
