SAN JOSE, Calif. (June 8, 2008)--Saratoga's Matt Marshall ripped off an impressive 62 in the Sunday morning round of the 82nd annual Ernie Pieper Santa Clara County Amateur, then capped off his tournament-winning performance with a 71 on the PM round to finish at 204, 12-under-par.

It was the best score on the course since 1963 when Dick Lotz set the course and tournament record.

The recent UC Davis graduate and Saratoga, Calif., native finished three strokes clear of Jay Myers, who took second at 207.
