LA QUINTA, Calif. (April 23, 2008)--Reigning Northern California Senior Player of the Year Mark Miller added another notch to his belt Wednesday after cruising to a five-stroke victory at the Golfweek Senior Amateur, held at PGA West.

Miller tamed the Stadium course, reknowned for it's difficulty, carding a 73 and 71 combined with a 70 on the Nicklaus Course made for a 2-under-par 214 total.

“I played good,” Miller told Golfweek after the tourney. “I was aggressively stupid, as opposed to stupidly aggressive. I never slowed down. I kept going for everything, even when I had the lead. That’s my personality.”

Doug Farr of Monroe, La took second at 219 while Ron Carder of Monticello, Ind., finished third at 222.

In the Super Senior division, for golfers 65-and-over, Grant Maples of Golden, Colo., carded a 225 total to top Richard Anderson of Bloomington, Minn. by two shots. San Antonio's Bob Hullender and Richard Friedes of Indian Wells placed third at 229.
