PubLinks (PLGA) J.C. Cunningham Seniors Championship (Southern California)

THOUSAND OAKS, CA (June 20, 2005) -- Sam Williamson of Ventura, playing in the 50-55 year old Division bested the field by shooting the low gross score of 141 over two days on Los Robles GC in Thousand Oaks and Buenaventura GC in Ventura. This is the only Championship Tournament on the PLGA schedule that has a minimum age requirement of 50 years old. The field is broken into 6 flights by age 50-54, 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75 & Over. In the "F" Flight (75 and over), Robert Mondor shot a gross score of 178 to win his division, and Mr. Cole Hatcher, 79 years young, wins the 2005 Longevity Award. Congratulations to all.

ABOUT THE Southern California Senior Net

This championship is open to SCGA members who are over the age of 50 years old. The championship is a 36- hole individual net stroke play event, there is no qualifying as all entries are on a first come, first served basis. Additionally, entrants that have reached their 65th birthday by the time of registration will compete in a separate super senior division over 36 holes of net stroke play.
