ESCONDIDO, Calif. (March 16, 2008)--Vista's Marco Gomez fired an opening-round 69 at Meadow Lake Golf Club, site of the San Diego Junior Golf Association's amateurgolf.com Championships, then used that cushion to pull off a one-stroke victory after his 76 in Round 2.

"I had a tough day, but I was able to make some birdies and hang in there, that's what did it," said Gomez.

Won Mun was consistent, going 74-72--146 as the runner-up.

Kyohei Itamura (147), Robert Ricci (149) and Kramer LaPlante (150) rounded out the top-5.

In the girls 15-17 division, four golfers began the day within two strokes of the lead, but it was Jamie Yam's final round of 78 that netted her a three-stroke victory.

Devon Brown was the runner up at 162, followed by Alice Kang (166) and Christy Fogerty (169).

The boys 13-14 division was won by Kevin Ray Carnegie, who topped Joseph Fortunato by a stroke at 151.

Courtney Hooton won the girls 13-14 by three strokes.
