UST- The last brand standing at the WGC-Accenture
FT. WORTH, TEXAS (March 1, 2006) -- Only the best reached the final round at the
WGC-Accenture. Two men. Two drivers. One graphite shaft brand — UST. Both
players in the final round match of the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match
Play Championship played drivers fitted with UST graphite shafts. The battle on
Sunday offered a dramatic demonstration of precision driving as the tournament
announcers repeatedly praised the ‘booming drives’ of both players.
UST’s new Proforce V2 and the HTD were the driver shaft models of choice
by the runner-up and winner of this year’s WGC-Accenture Match Play. With
the win, the Australian-born champion jumped to third on the PGA TOUR Official
Money List with $1,548,234 and marked UST’s second win this season. spacer
Nissan Revs Up the Count
UST-branded shafts are continuing to explode in popularity. At last week’s
Nissan Open, 56 UST shafts were in play by PGA pros. That’s a 25 percent
increase from the 2005 Nissan!
