Hammer wins Palm Beach County Mid-Am

Kevin Hammer (left) parred the second playoff hole to win this year's RootGel Mid Amateur Stroke Play Championship at The Dye Preserve.
Hammer shot a final round 7 under par 65 and was tied after regulation with first round co leader Mike Weeks with 138's. Hammer shot 73-65 and Weeks shot a pair of 69's.
On the first playoff hole Hammer saved par from right of the green to extend the playoff and parred the second hole for the victory.
Dean Stokes finished third at 69-70--139. Stephen Anderson 70-73--143 and Mark Peel 70-73--143 tied for fourth and tied for 6th were R.J. Nakashian 75-69--144, Danny Germaine 73-71--144 and Brandon Smith 71-73--144.
