South Dakota Pre-Senior Championship
RAPID CITY, SD (July 23, 2006) -- Doug Murphy, who teamed with Steve Beardsley of Rapid City to win the Pre-Senior Two-Man title last month in Spearfish, shot a final-round 74 on Sunday to win by three strokes. Murphy finished with a 36-hole score of 145. Roger Legge of Aberdeen and Kyle Repp of Yankton tied for second at 148. Pat Lockwood of Brookings, the runner-up in the Match Play Championship earlier this month and Steve Weiland of Yankton tied for fourth at 151.
Repp won the second flight. Other flight winners were: David Kalil, Rapid City, third flight (164); Merlyn Schmuck, Yankton, fourth, (166); Tim Eddy, Dell Rapids, fifth (171); and Don Neukirch, Yankton, sixth (172).
