RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. (April 2, 2010) – Jennifer Song said she’s been “pulling my hair out” this week at the Kraft Nabisco Championship. Not because she’s playing in a major championship, or because she had to scramble like crazy after hitting only six greens in regulation on Friday.

Song has two midterms Monday. One is for a psychology class. The other is for a class called 'Stress Management.'

"I have a lot of reading to do," Song said.

Song had her fair share of stress Friday while shooting her second consecutive 71.

When Song was signing her scorecard, the caddie of her playing partner, Katie Futcher, joked that she was going to start calling her ‘Oscar,’ after the Sesame Street character Oscar the Grouch.

“You could get up-and-down out of a trash can,” Futcher’s caddie said to Song.

Song’s best up-and-down of the day came on No. 10, when she holed a 20-foot par putt after hitting a 20-yard bunker shot.

Song, who is planning on turning pro after June's Curtis Cup, is hovering around the top 10 at the Kraft as the afternoon wave completes play. She was low amateur at last year’s U.S. Women’s Open (T-13) and winner of the U.S. Women’s Amateur and U.S. Amateur Public Links.

Song , No. 2 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings, said she doesn’t apply any of the teachings from her stress-management college course to her playing. She prefers books by Bob Rotella and Vision 54 founders Pia Nilsson and Lynn Marriott.
