Westwood wins Palm Beach Senior Classic
JUPITER, Fla. (May 11, 2009) – Rick Westwood of Wellington was the only player to break par Monday as he won the Palm Beach County Senior Classic for the second time. Westwood made three birdies and two bogeys for a one-under 70 at Admirals Cove Golf Village. He also won the Senior Classic in 2003 at Frenchman’s Reserve in Palm Beach Gardens.

The 12th annual Senior Classic drew 73 players competing in two age groups. Westwood was low in the 50-64 division. Other flight winners were Ed Cooke, Indiantown, low gross, 65-older, 71; David Dulman, Palm Beach Gardens, low net, 50-64, 68; and Mel Hirsch, Palm Beach Gardens, low net, 65-older, 63.

Individual Stroke Play for 18 Holes. There are two divisions: Gross and Net. Prizes will be awarded in both divisions. Open to all PBCGA Members will will have reached their 50th Birthday by the start of the tournament.
