Jason Hak Breaks Sergio Garcia's European Tour Age Mark

HONG KONG (November 22, 2008) -- Jason Hak, A 14-year-old golfer living in Florida but originally from Hong Kong, became the youngest player to make the cut at an European Tour event on Friday.
At 14 years old, Hak easily broke the record set by Sergio Garcia, who was 15 years, 46 days old when he made the cut at the 1995 Turespana Open Mediterrania in his home country of Spain.
Hak shot 140, right on the cut line of the Hong Kong Open. On Saturday, he shot 73 to put him in 78th place.
Hak, who currently resides in Lake Mary, Florida and plays out of Timacuan Country Club, took making the cut in stride.
"I have no ideas of turning pro because it's only one tournament," Hak said. "It doesn't really tell the whole story."
