Big 12 Championship: Oklahoma State Leads After 2 Rounds
HUTCHINSON, Kan. (April 25, 2011) -- Oklahoma State leads the field after the first two rounds of the 2011 Big 12 Men's Golf Championship at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan.

Despite rainy and wet conditions during the morning round, the Cowboys established a three-stroke lead with a 3-over-par round of 283. As the wind picked up and conditions toughened for the day's second round, OSU didn't let up as they maintained their lead with a round of 292 (+12). Texas sits in second, just three shots back while Oklahoma finished day one in third and four off the lead. Texas A&M (582) and Texas Tech (585) are in fourth and fifth places, respectively.

Oklahoma State's Kevin Tway and Morgan Hoffman are on top of the individual leader board finishing with a 1-under-par total of 139. Oklahoma's Ryan Sirman sits in third, one behind the leaders at even-par (140). Texas' Julio Vegas (141) is in fourth while Abraham Ancer (OU), Will Griffrin (TTU) and Chandler Rusk (TTU) are in a three-way tie for fifth at 144 (+4).

Tway was tied for the lead at four-under following the first round, but it was Hoffmann who fired a second-round low, 69, to jump seven spots and into a share for the top spot.

The third round gets underway Tuesday at 8 a.m. with Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Nebraska teeing off the first hole while Kansas, Baylor and Colorado will begin their rounds on the 10th. The remaining six teams begin at 8:50 a.m. with Oklahoma State, Texas and Oklahoma going off hole 1 and Kansas State, Missouri and Iowa State starting on the 10th tee.
