FORT WORTH, Texas — For months, graphite shafts by UST (United Sports Technologies®) featuring advanced AXIV Technology has generated a whirlwind of talk and winning performance on the pro tours; however, the world renowned shaft company has remained silent as to a specific product line that would make the sophisticated weave technology available to golfers. Today, golf’s leading innovator in graphite shaft technology, UST has unveiled the next evolution in its highly acclaimed, high performance Proforce Series — the new Proforce AXIVCore Series.

“We’re proud to announce the launch of our new Proforce AXIVCore Series shafts,” says Gene Simpson, senior vice president for UST. “The Proforce AXIVCore is an extremely efficient way to design because it features a true weave of four different modulus carbon fibers in four completely different directions, yet they are all in one ply of material. This technology – featured in the winning, ultra premium ACCRA X Series models designed and manufactured by UST – is establishing an entirely new standard for premium graphite shafts and it’s already a proven winner on the world tours.”

Unlike any graphite shaft in golf today, the innovative new Proforce AXIVCore Shaft Series integrates a true weave — four-axis material — within the inner walls of the butt section that provides stability and consistent shaft recovery. This unique counter-balanced shaft also reduces club heft that helps players generate more clubhead speed which translates to more ball velocity and greater distance. The Proforce AXIVCore Series will feature a Blue, Tour Black and Tour Red models, and will be available in multiple weights and flexes to fit various swing profiles.

The Proforce AXIVCore Blue shaft features an active tip section that optimizes torque and improves feel and generates more spin for greater carry distance. The woven AXIV material provides enhanced stability and consistent shaft recovery without sacrificing feel. The AXIVCore Blue is available in 59-, 69-, 79-grams and flexes to fit a various swing profiles. MSRP: $115.

For players seeking high initial launch, low spin and increased ball speed, the Proforce AXIVCore Tour Black is a tour-proven, counter-balance design that utilizes the AXIV weave that provides enhanced stability and consistent shaft recovery. The Tour Black incorporates superior high-modulus carbon fiber in the mid and tip section of the shaft, and the flexible, low torque tip section creates a higher launch trajectory with less ball spin, and provides the player with better control. The Proforce AXIVCore Tour Black is available in 59-, 69-, 79-, 89-grams and flexes to fit various swing profiles. MSRP: $165

The new Proforce AXIVCore Tour Red is for players who generate above average ball speed and who desire a penetrating launch angle, low ball spin, and a stable feel. Similar to the Tour Black model, the AXIVCore Red is a tour-proven design that combines the AXIV weave and a superior high-modulus carbon fiber in the mid and tip sections of the shaft. However, the Tour Red Series features a stiffer tip profile that delivers a strong, penetrating launch trajectory, low spin, and firmer feel. The Proforce AXIVCore Tour Black is available in 69-, 79-, 89-grams and in stiff and extra stiff flexes. MSRP: $165.

The Proforce brand is a proven winner on the PGA Tour and remains one of the most successful shaft brands in golf. The eye-catching Proforce Series and its revolutionary ‘Proforce Tip Technology’ first shook up the golf industry with its 1999 Masters victory, and the second generation Proforce V2 is one of the hottest shaft series on the professional tours and in the marketplace today. The Proforce brand includes popular models from the Proforce HMOI Series, Proforce V2 Series, and Proforce Classic Series. Each series has its own unique technologies and are designed to fit a variety of swing profiles and golfers of all abilities.

High-performance UST graphite shafts are played by some of the world’s best players such as Davis Love III, Rod Pampling and many others.
