PALOS VERDES, Calif. (Feb. 26, 2008)-- We just had to know, what kind of golfing experience can one expect from the most expensive golf course ever built?

So to find out, amateurgolf.com headed north from San Diego to visit Trump National Los Angeles (which is actually about 40 minutes south of L.A., in the Palos Verdes Peninsula) to review the course that has a price tag over over 250 million dollars.

That high number is partly because the 18th hole had to be completely rebuilt after it collapsed into the Pacific Ocean before Trump bought the course.

We also took the opportunity to review the 7th annual Wine Country Cup, held at StoneTree Golf Club in Marin County, where defending amateurgolf.com Player of the Year took home the victory for the fourth time.

Herb Jensen won the senior flight while Jeff Kier took the net division.

Looking forward, we also highlight amateurgolf.com's two travel events, the Kiawah Island Two Man and the Two Man Links Championship at Bandon Dunes.
