Kennedy Still Leads St. Augustine after Round 2
ST. AUGUSTINE, FL. (Oct. 23, 2010) -- Chris Kennedy of Sarasota, Florida, holds sole possession of the lead after 36 holes at St. Johns Golf Club. Kennedy, a senior at the University of North Florida, came into Saturday's round tied atop the leader board with Italy's Domenico Geminiani, but separated himself by shooting his second consecutive 68, pushing his total to four-under 136.
Chris Bray of Hilliard finished his second round with a 3-under par 67, giving him a 2-under par total of 138. Bray, a senior at Flagler College, recorded nines of 34-33 today which included 6 birdies. Bray's round was the lowest score of the day and puts him in second place heading into Sunday's final round.
Brandon Dalinka of Newton, Pennsylvania shot 2-under par 68 in the second round, placing him alone in 3rd place at 139. Dalinka, 17, started Saturday strong with 3 birdies on his first 9 holes.
Cyril Suk of Bradenton, Florida, sits in 4th place with 141, while Blake Morris of Clearwater Beach, Florida and Neil Thomas of Edmonton, Alberta are tied for 5th with 142.
Geminiani, one of Friday's leaders, struggled to find his first round magic and finished his second round with an 8-over par 78. He heads into Sunday's final round with a total of 146 and is tied for 13th.
