AIKEN, S.C. (Oct. 21, 2010) - Pat Brogden from Garner, North Carolina maintained her steady play and seven shot lead to win the 2010 Women's Eastern Senior Amateur Championship. Brogden's rounds of 71-74-76 at the Houndslake Country Club gave her a three day total 221 which outpaced Peg Brady of Stanley, North Carolina who shot a twelve over par total 228. Barbara Pagana of Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania was third with a 232.

The super senior division was won by Claudeen Lindberg of Atlanta, Georgia with three day total of 246.

ABOUT THE Women's Eastern Senior Amateur

The Championship is open to female amateur golfers who will have reached their 50th birthday, have a certified handicap index of 17.5 or less, and belong to a Women’s Eastern Golf Association (WEGA) Member Club. Clubs in the following states are eligible to join the Association: Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
