Antioch City Best-Ball: Both winning teams go low

ANTIOCH, Calif. (Nov. 4, 2007)-- Normally, Domenic Debellis and Andy Nevin's two-day best-ball score of 16-under-par would be enough to dominate an amateur golf tournament, but not a this year's Antioch City Best Ball Championship.

Scott Watson and Chris Johnson outpaced the second-place pair by four strokes, carding a 20-under 124 at Lone Tree Golf Club to take the championship flight victory.

But the team of Mark Miller and Gary Vanier was the story of the day, winning the senior flight by six strokes by going 22-under-par. That score, according to Lonetree Head Professional Pat Cain, is an all-time tournament record.
