As the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am kicks off today, we’ve scanned the list of celebrity amateurs that will play alongside PGA Tour players this weekend at Pebble Beach, Monterey Peninsula CC, and Spyglass Hill.

Here we highlight a few players worth mentioning, with a close look at their various contributions to the game:

Chris Harrison, host of The Bachelor: Harrison most recently appeared in a short USGA video with Kira Kazantsev and USGA rules official Kathryn Belanger to help make sense of the 2019 Rules of Golf modernizations.

Tony Romo, retired Cowboys quarterback: We’d call Romo the amateur with the most tournament experience in this field. His competitive starts in 2018 ranged from the Wisconsin State Amateur to Web.com Tour Qualifying School. (Also worth noting: He has a few well-seasoned golf clubs in his bag this week.)

Darius Rucker, singer/songwriter: Rucker frequently shows up at golf events in the Southeast. The Darius Rucker Intercollegiate is a premier women’s college event at Long Cove Golf Club in Hilton Head, S.C., and Rucker traditionally hosts a private concert during tournament week. The Charleston, S.C., native will be busy in 2019 as an honorary chair for the U.S. Women’s Open, to be played at Charleston Country Club.

Larry Fitzgerald, receiver for the Arizona Cardinals: Fitzgerald, a member at the prestigious Whisper Rock Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., paired with Kevin Streelman in 2018 to win this thing. In fact, they lapped the field by seven shots. He’ll play with Streelman again this year.

Wayne Gretzky, NHL Hall of Famer: And in terms of a marquee group, it doesn’t get much better than Gretzy and partner Dustin Johnson (also his future son in law), especially when you look at the rest of the group (keep reading).

Jake Owen, country music star: Owen has long paired with Jordan Spieth in this event. Owen played the Web.com Tour’s Nashville Open on a sponsor invite in May.
