Oceanside City Senior: Hiller in playoff
OCEANSIDE, Calif. (July 24, 2007)-- Calvin Hill of Pala Mesa topped Oceanside's Jeff Gipner in the first hole of a sudden death playoff at Oceanside Municipal Golf Course, site of the Oceanside Men's Senior City Championship.
Both golfers finished with two-day totals of 145.
Rounding out the the list of golfers in the 50-59 age group were local golfers. Rick Cosca placed third with a 146, Don Stioham and Alan Woodson finished at 150 and Ralph Perretta shot a 151.
In the same group's net division, David Bryant of Carlton Oaks was the winner with a 140.
In the 60-69 group, Palm Desert's Steve Woodruff took first with a 146, while Oceanside's Bob Merk's 136 was enough to win the net flight.
El Camino's Hide Chino won the 70+ gross division with a 154, while Oceanside's Jack Andersen took the net with a 140.
