Osborne Retains Lead at Bayonet Black Horse Am
SEASIDE, California (July 14, 2018) -- Charles Osborne grinded out a 2-over-par 74 on Saturday, currently keeping the SMU golfer ahead of the field by two shots at the Bayonet Black Horse Amateur after tearing up the difficult Bayonet course for a bogey free 67 and the round of the tournament on Thursday.
Osborne would have a little more difficulty playing Bayonet on Saturday, finishing the front nine at 3-over par and not finding the cup on any of his birdie tries.
The Nevada native would take back a stroke with a 1-under 35 on the back nine that included four birdies offset by three bogeys. Low scores today came from Morgan Hill’s Austin Murphy and Danville’s Christian Banke, who both managed 2-under-par rounds on the par-72 course.
Final round play will begin tomorrow at 7:40 AM, with the leaders teeing off at 9:40.
