LAKEWOOD, Calif. (April 8, 2018) -- Warren Leary did what Sergio Garcia couldn't this weekend, successfully defending his title at the Los Angeles County Weekend Senior Amateur Championship.

Maybe Lakewood CC's greens weren't running at 15, and there weren't huge galleries following Leary's every move. But the veteran senior golfer from Newhall posted a A 2-Day total of 141, with rounds of 70 on Saturday and 71 on Sunday to hoist the trophy once again after winning it in 2017.

John Denny posted a solid weekend of 72-74=146 to finish in the runner-up position.

Next up in Los Angeles County Parks golf tournaments is the Four-Ball Championship on May 5-6.

ABOUT THE L. A. County Senior Weekend
