Every golfer has thought about driving across our great country in an RV, and golfing every day along the way. But how many people have actually acted on it?

The "acting on it" part is already in the books for amateur (turned professional) golf photographer Patrick Koenig. Koenig, who grew up playing the municipal courses of his hometown of Seattle, really loves the mission of the First Tee. After several years of posting golf photos on Instagram -- developing a large following and being featured in Golf Digest along the way -- Koenig decided it was time to take it on the road.

With the support of his wife Jennifer (who has her own passion, as an outdoor sea kayak guide) he put a plan together, customized an RV, and hit the road. Only now it's not an RV, it's an "RGV" -- for Recreational Golf Vehicle. It's got a TV playing Caddyshack almost nonstop, a golf library, podcast and photo editing studio, and of course a place to lay his head down and sleep at the end of a long day of 18 or 36 holes.

We found Patrick at Oceanside, California's Goat Hill Park, playing the last two holes in the dark and lamenting a final birdie putt that lipped out. Take a tour with us as he tells AmateurGolf.com about his mission and gives us a look inside the RGV.

Because it is very seldom that we find a golfer as passionate about the game as we are.

You can visit his website www.pjkoenig.com and make a stop request if you would like him to visit your home course. And follow him @pjkoenig on Instagram or @PatrickJKoenig on Twitter.
