Women's Eastern Amateur: Sheary finishes in red

MIDLOTHIAN, Va. (Jne 14, 2007)-- West Hartford's Natalie Sheary shook off a second-round 75 at the Women's Eastern Amateur and responded by carding a 69 on the final day, good enough to hold off Jessica Hollandsworth of Floyd, Va.

Sheary's two-under par total of 214 at the Independence golf Club was the only sub-par total of the tourney.

The Womenfs Eastern Golf Championship has been played since 1906 and is one of the oldest and most prestigious womenfs amateur championships in the United States.

Must belong to a WEGA member club or have a school affiliation in one of the following Eastern states: Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. 54 hole stroke play championship.
