KISSIMMEE, Fla. (May 20, 2007)-- The Tampa duo of Brian Keenan and Paul Royak captured their second Two-Man Shoot-Out title winning at Orange Lake Resort and Country Club in Kissimmee on May 19-20.

Brian Keenan and Paul Royak, the 2005 Two-Man Shoot-Out Champions, secured the 2007 title by one stroke with a tournament total of 13-under par 202. In the first round of modified alternate shot on the Reserve Course, the pair posted an even par 71. "The first round was like a roller coaster," said Keenan. "We had six birdies, six bogeys and six pars." Playing a scramble on the par 72 Legends Course in the second round, Keenan and Royak recorded a solid 65 to trail the leaders by just one. In the final round of four-ball, Royak drained a 30-foot putt on the 18th hole for birdie to card a 66 and edge out the field by one. "We just played really well in the final round," said Keenan. "This format really suits us."

Childhood friends from New York, the pair now plays together at Avila Country Club.

Bill Griffith, of Miami Shores, and Marc Rosenbaum, from Hollywood, claimed second place with a tournament total of 203. The South Florida team posted rounds of 71-67-65. In a tie for third place, the father and son team of Bret and Bryce Voisin, from Orlando, and Edward Kenny, of Lake Worth, and Paul Melson, from Plantation, each recorded a 204 total. The Voisin’s led after the first two rounds with scores of 69-66 and finished with a final round 69. The 2006 Four-Ball champions Kenny and Melson shot a 71-65-68 for a share of third place. Charlie Commander, from Panama City, aced the 12th hole to finish in fifth place with partner Richard Maddox, also from Panama City.

The field of 51 teams played three competitive rounds consisting of modified alternate shot, two-man scramble and the final 18 holes of four-ball.
