SEATTLE, WA (July 2, 2017) - In a three-way playoff recent Seattle University graduate Kyle Cornett captured the Seattle Amateur. Playing the final day of the 54-hole tournament at West Seattle Golf Club, Cornett finished regulation tied with defending champion Drew McCullough and Sean Packer at 3-under.

Cornett began his week with a Friday 1-under 69 at Jackson Park before firing a 2-under 68 in Saturday's second round at Jefferson Park.

During his final season at Seattle University Cornett recorded his best finish at the WAC Championship where he placed second. He also recorded a top-10 showing at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invite when he tied for seventh.

Tyler Salsbury and Zach Evans shared fourth at 2-under while eight-time winner Dave Farnam who began the day in a three-way tie for the lead fell to even-par and a seventh place showing.
