BALTIMORE, MD (April 29, 2017) - The medalist lead has changed hands but the team lead has remained the same at the Big Ten Championship hosted by Baltimore Country Club. Illinois took a commanding lead on Friday and during Saturday's round they were able to move to 12-under while also extending their advantage to 20 shots.

Similar to yesterday, the medalist lead belongs to a member of Illinois roster, only now it is Edoardo Lipparelli pacing the field. The sophomore standout fired a 4-under 66 on Saturday to post 5-under and take a one shot lead over teammate and first round leader Dylan Meyer.

Lipparelli, 1-under after the first round, birdied No. 1 as he set the stage for his six birdie and two bogey round. In addition, to the birdie on No. 1 Lipparelli converted birds on Nos. 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12.

One day after shooting a Big Ten Championship record 7-under 63 Dylan Meyer dropped back three shots to 4-under with a 3-over 73 and he is second place. Also in the top-10 for Illinois are Nick Hardy and Giovanni Tadiotto, both whom are sharing seventh at 1-over.

The top-five of the individual standings is rounded out by Ryan Lumsden (Northwestern) at 2-under in third, Jake Brown (Indiana) is fourth at 1-under and in fifth it is Will Grimmer (Ohio State); Cole Miller (Penn State) at even-par.

Behind Illinois in the team standings are Purdue and Northwestern at 8-over in second place, Wisconsin is fourth at 12-over while in fifth it is Ohio State at 15-over.
