AUGUSTA, GA (March 30, 2017) -- As we begin to gear up for the 2017 Masters here at AmateurGolf.com we decided to take a bit of a trip down memory lane. With five amateurs set to make their Masters appearance next week we decided to take a look back at all the amateurs that have teed it up at Augusta National in the last 10 years.

The best amateur finish in that time period came last year when Bryson DeChambeau finished tied for 21st. During the 10 year time frame a total of 54 amateurs have played in the event with just nine players making the cut.

Over that same frame the only amateur to make the cut twice was Hideki Matsuyama in 2011 when he finished as low amateur and 2012. There were four years where no amateurs made the cut, one year where three made the cut, one where two made the cut and four where one player made the cut.
