CHARLESTON, SC (March 30, 2001)-- First round leader Paul Simson stumbled in the second day of the Azalea Invitational, held at the Country Club of Charleston, while Arnond Vongvanij shot a 67 to take the lead with a two-day total of 137.

As was the case in the first day, the top of the leaderboard was still packed, with 15 players within five strokes, including 2006 amateurgolf.com national points leader and 2004 champ Webb Simpson trailing by two.
