Brad Faxon is well known as one of the gentlemen of the PGA Tour. He's also on anyone's short list of golfers they would like to have standing over a 10 footer, if their life depended on it.

As Ambassador for the Major Series of Putting, Faxon was at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando talking up the MSOP. The year-long quest to find the best putter in the world will culminate with championship events in Las Vegas this Fall. And get this. The competition is at a specially-constructed stadium putting course just off the Vegas strip. It's going to be spectacular.

To get PGA members warmed up, the MSOP ran an all day qualifier in Orlando at the PGA Merchandise show, with the winner getting a chance to face off with Faxon. A college student with what Faxon called a pure stroke shot 7-under on the 9-hole par 18 course. By the end of the day, with nerves setting in, he wasn't able to keep up the magic, and Faxon won the match.

We got a chance to talk about the Fox Sports commentator about that, and much more in the interview which you can view above. Hopefully it will get YOU jazzed to try and qualify for the Vegas finals, as a pro or amateur (where you don't risk losing your amateur status).
