Texas State Club Team Championship: Final Results

KERRVILLE, Texas (March 11, 2007)--Dos Rios Golf Club posted back-to-back rounds of 1-under-par 143 for a three-shot win over Abilene Country Club in the 2007 TGA State Club Team Championship at the Club at Comanche Trace in Kerrville..
David Pfeuffer had a 1-under-par 71 and Terrence Miskell had a 72 for the team’s second round score. The third player of the Dos Rios team, Ken Lawrence, had a 77, but only the low two scores of the three players on each team count for the team total each day. The State Club Team was the opening statewide championship of the 2007 TGA season.
Abilene Country Club was tied with Dos Rios after the opening round. Led by the steady play of Ryan Heller who had rounds of 70-71, Abilene’s second score was a 75 by Kyle Doby, leaving them three shot back. There was a three-way tie for third between the host club of Comanche Trace, the Pecan Valley Players Club, and Sherrill Park Golf Course.
