BEAUMONT, CA (December 28, 2016) -- Clay Feagler of Pepperdine is the one-stoke leader at the Winter World Stars of Amateur Golf following day one at Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon Champions Course. The freshman started his week with an even-par 72 that saw him birdie four-times and bogey the same number.

A trio of players --Pacific's Casey Scott, Hisham Hussein and Cal Poly's Jesse Yap --are all tied for second at 1-over following 73s. The top-5 is concluded by the 2-over Ben Skogen of Wisconsin.

WOMEN'S DIVISON

Leading the way in the Women's Division by a commanding seven-strokes is USC redshirt senior Victoria Morgan. It wasn't a special day for Morgan on a day when the rest of the field struggled her even-par 72 was good enough to place her well in front with still 36-holes left to play.

Morgan was able to overcome a double-bogey and two bogeys with four birdies.

Oregon's Amy Matsuoka is second at 7-over and Fresno State's Yifei Wang is 8-over and third.
