INDIAN WELLS, CA (November 28, 2016) -- Danny Thogmartin of Mission Trails GC emerged victorious in the 42nd SCGA Tournament of Club Champions at Indian Wells Golf Resort (Celebrity). Thogmartin outlasted Christopher Tuulik of Torrey Pines GC in a playoff, sealing the victory on the second hole of extra golf.

Thogmartin opened his round on fire, carding a birdie on the first hole and later dumping in an eagle at the par-5 fourth hole. The back-nine was a bit shaky with three bogeys, but two birdies to offset the damage.

Tuulik had a more consistent round of golf, carding three birdies to a single bogey - although it came on No. 17 with the match in the balance. Tuulik was able to recover but eventually fell to the champion in playoff holes.

Mark Warman (San Clemente GC) and Scott Gibson (SeaCliff CC) finished tied for third place after 1-under 70s.
