Jones Cup Invitational: Day 2 results
ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. (Feb. 3, 2007)-- After pacing the field with a 7-under-par round in difficult weather conditions, Kansas University senior Gary Woodland saw his lead dissapate when he shot a 1-over 73.
Tulane sophomore Michael Thompson's 69 brought him to within a stroke of the lead at -5.
Luke List, a Vanderbilt senior, was in third place at 3-under, while six others were below par.

ABOUT THE Jones Cup
The Jones Cup was born from a deep commitment to
amateur golf by the A.W. Jones family, who founded
the Cloister and Sea Island Golf Club in 1928. The
Island Golf Club has played host to seven USGA
championships. The Jones Cup is yet another
of the family's strong involvement in amateur golf.
This 54-hole individual stroke-play event,
in 2001, is played at Ocean Forest Golf Club. The
Jones design opened in 1995 and has hosted the
Georgia State Amateur Championship, the 1999
Southern Amateur Championship and the 2001
Cup Match. The Jones Cup brings together many of
finest amateurs from the United States and abroad
this three-day competition.
