VIDEO: Highlights from Illinois East Lake Cup victory

ATLANTA, GA (November 3, 2016) -- Over the course of
the last two days of the East Lake Cup hosted by East
Lake Golf Club the Illini of Illinois flexed their muscle
and showed why they are the top-ranked team in the
land. In the semifinals Illinois took care of Texas before
handling Oregon in the finals. For Illinois it was their
fourth win in five fall events and it likely secured a
spot atop the rankings heading into the spring.
So now as Illinois begins their preparation for the
spring season here is a look back some of the moments
from a second straight East Lake Cup title.

ABOUT THE East Lake Cup
Started in 2015 and hosted by the historic
East
Lake Golf Club Atlanta, this collegiate, three-day
match
play competition features the top-performing
teams
from the previous year's NCAA Men’s
Golf Championships. There is an individual award for
the low 18-hole scorer
in the seeding round.
