(October 17, 2016) -- Maybe the biggest win of the weekend went to Auburn commit Brandon Mancheno at the St. Augustine Amateur. Mancheno began the day trailing by one shot before rallying to win.

California star Collin Morikawa made his PGA Tour debut this weekend at the Safeway Open and despite missing the cut played well.

Word also spread about the thrill of a lifetime that U.S. Amateur semifinalist Nick Carlson received in the form of a letter from the late Arnold Palmer.

In the women's collegiate ranks Wake Forest (Tar Heel Invite) and UCLA (Stanford Intercollegiate) picked up wins.
