Jake Meloche wins Coronado City Amateur

CORONADO, Calif (October 2, 2016) -- Coronado native Jake Meloche captured the Coronado City Amateur Sunday with a 36-hole total of 133 (-11) after rounds of 66 and 67.
Meloche posted the low round of each day and finished four-shots ahead of Cody Hall (Wildomar, CA) and five ahead of Joe Vrzich (El Cajon, CA). Meloche is a former baseball player at Cal State Fullerton and participated as a member of the Cal State San Bernardino Golf team last spring, collecting five top-20s and one top-10 on the year.
The Coronado City Amateur will certainty rank high on his list of golf achievements.

longtime Coronado GC Professional John Ruedi.
