Puerto Rico Ambassador's Cup: Round 2 Results
15 Dec 2006
SHARE:
FAJARDO, Puerto Rico (December 15, 2006) -- Two-thirds of the way through the 5th playing of the Puerto Rico Ambassadors Cup, teams from the left and right coast are tied at the top of the leaderboard.

The teams from Tarzana, California's Braemar Country Club and Oyster Bay, New York's Mill River Country Club both stand at 28-under-par 116 in the one best ball net format. Half of the field survived the 16-under-par cut of 128 and will compete for the Cup on Saturday at the fantastic El Conquistador Country Club (the other half of the field plays a consolation round).

Saturday's championship round will be played in more challenging one best ball gross plus one best ball net format where several-shot swings can occur on one hole -- adding to the tension is the substantial professional purse on the line.

The tournament is presented by Travel + Leisure Golf magazine and sponsored by the Tourism Board of Puerto Rico and a bevy of top golf companies. Check out all of Travel + Leisure Golf's events at www.tlgolf.com.
