MATHER, Calif. (September 5th, 2016) -- Mark Morgan successfully defended his California State Fair Senior title Sunday at Mather Golf Club.

After a 2-under 70 opening round, Mark Morgan found himself trailing Dale Bouguennec by three shots after Bouguennec's impressive opening round 67. On Sunday the tables were turned, however, as Morgan would match Bouguennec's opening round with a 67 of his own while Bouguennec's even-par 72 led him to a runner-up finish.

Tim Grunsky finished solo third with a two round total of 140 while Randy Haag fired a final-round 66 to climb into solo fourth at 141.

The super senior division was also won by a defending champion in Bob Thomason. Thomason shot a final-round 1-under 71 to tie Herb Jensen after regulation. Thomason would prevail in a four-hole playoff.
