U.S. Mid-Amateur Tee Times Announced

ELVERSON, PA (September 1, 2016) -- On Thursday the USGA announced the tee times and groupings for the first two rounds of the 2016 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship scheduled for Saturday, September 10th and Sunday, September 11th. The 2016 U.S. Mid-Amateur is being played at Stonewall Links.

The first two days of play will feature 18-hole stroke play qualifying rounds set to be played on both the Old and North Courses. Upon the completion of play on Sunday the top-64 players will advance to match play, which will be contested on the Old Course.

ABOUT THE U.S. Mid-Amateur

The U.S. Mid-Amateur originated in 1981 for the amateur golfer of at least 25 years of age, the purpose of which to provide a formal national championship for the post-college player. 264 players begin the championship with two rounds of sroke play qualifying held at two courses, after which the low 64 (with a playoff if necessary to get the exact number) advance to single elimination match play.
