Washington (WSGA) Women's Four-Ball
SEATTLE, WA (May 24, 2005) -- Ann Swanson of Woodinville , Wash. and Amy Walker of Dupont , Wash. beat Katie Street of Federal Way , Wash. and Jill Phillips of Auburn , Wash. on the second playoff hole to become champions of the 6th Annual WSGA Women's Best-Ball Championship. After both teams birdied the first playoff hole , Swanson and Walker used a par on the second to claim a victory. On a day where scores were higher than the first round, Street and Phillips combined for five birdies on their way to a great comeback to tie Swanson and Walker , but in the end came up short. Swanson, a member of Sandpoint Country Club, and Walker were able to hold off the young team's comeback and claim the championship for their first time.
