Washington (WSGA) Women's Four-Ball
SEATTLE, WA (May 24, 2005) -- Ann Swanson of Woodinville , Wash. and Amy Walker of Dupont , Wash. beat Katie Street of Federal Way , Wash. and Jill Phillips of Auburn , Wash. on the second playoff hole to become champions of the 6th Annual WSGA Women's Best-Ball Championship. After both teams birdied the first playoff hole , Swanson and Walker used a par on the second to claim a victory. On a day where scores were higher than the first round, Street and Phillips combined for five birdies on their way to a great comeback to tie Swanson and Walker , but in the end came up short. Swanson, a member of Sandpoint Country Club, and Walker were able to hold off the young team's comeback and claim the championship for their first time. ABOUT THE Washington Women's Best-Ball
36-hole Four-Ball Stroke Play (Gross and Net). The
field will be divided into flights based on team
handicap. No age limit.
Entrants must have an active GHIN number and
USGA Handicap Index issued by a WSGA member
club not exceeding 35.7, at the close of entry
(Partners' course handicaps must be within 8 strokes
of one another, or an adjustment will be made to
the
player with the higher course handicap to meet this
requirement).
Entrants must be members in good standing of a
WSGA member club.
